What’s Included

The update allows CT 26, CT 36, and CT 48 models to auto-start when paired tools are activated—no physical connection required within a 30-foot range.

Existing owners can download the update through the Festool Work app. New units will ship with the firmware pre-installed starting next month.

Compatibility

The feature works with Festool’s Bluetooth-enabled sanders, routers, and track saws released after 2023. Third-party tool compatibility is not supported.

For shops already invested in the Festool ecosystem, this represents a meaningful quality-of-life improvement. Check the app for update availability.
